Frequently asked questions
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. We'll send you a reset link — check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes. If you signed up with Apple, Google, or Facebook, there's no separate password: just use that button to sign in.
How do I get my friends into StreakParty?
Tap Invite on the Friends tab, or Invite to this party inside a streak party, and share the link however you like — WhatsApp, SMS, anything. If your friend already has StreakParty, the link opens the app straight on the invitation. If they don't, it takes them to the app store.
After installing, they need to tap the same link again. Neither app store carries a link through an installation, so the fresh app has no way to know which invitation brought them. Tapping it a second time opens it properly.
Accepting an invitation also makes the two of you friends, if you weren't already.
I searched for my friend's name and nothing came up
Searching by name only finds people you already share something with — your friends, friends of your friends, and people in your streak parties. That's deliberate: it stops StreakParty being a directory that strangers can browse for people to contact.
To find someone outside that circle, search their exact email address, which always works, or just send them an invite link.
Is StreakParty on Android?
Yes. StreakParty is out on Google Play and on the App Store.
It is the same app on both, with the same account behind it — sign in on either and your parties, streaks, friends and history come with you. StreakParty Pro comes with you too, because it is attached to your account rather than to the phone. The one thing that stays with the store you bought it from is managing it: you cancel, or switch between monthly and annual, in that store. See our Terms.
Streaks and check-ins
How often do I have to check in?
Whatever the party was set up for. A party runs daily, on weekdays, weekly, or monthly, and it sets how many check-ins make a full period — so "three runs a week" is a streak just as much as "every morning is".
What does a check-in record?
That depends on the party. Some record nothing more than the fact that you did it. Others record an amount: a distance, a length of time, an amount of money, weight and reps, or a completion percentage. Whatever it is, it's the same for everyone in the party, so the leaderboard and the chart compare like with like.
The person who creates the party chooses this once, when the party is made, and it can never be changed afterwards. That's on purpose — 12 recorded as kilometres is not 12 recorded as minutes, and changing it would quietly rewrite what every check-in already logged had meant.
Can a party be changed after it's created?
Its creator can rename it, rewrite the description, change its category, and switch it between public and private at any time. What can't change is how often it runs, its goal, and what a check-in records — those three decide what the check-ins already logged mean. The edit screen shows them as fixed, with the reason.
What if my party is about doing something less?
Some parties are limits rather than goals — fast food no more than once a week, say. On one of those you check in when the thing happens, and the streak counts the periods you stayed under the ceiling rather than the check-ins you banked. Limit parties don't send "your turn" nudges, because there's no turn to take.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your current streak for that party resets — but your history, your total days, and your achievements are all kept, and the calendar remembers everything you've done.
You may also be able to rescue the run with a streak freeze, below.
Streak freezes
What's a streak freeze?
A freeze covers one period you missed, so the run survives it. Open the party after a miss and you'll be offered one if it can be used.
When can I use one?
Within two periods of the one you missed — so on a daily party, a Monday you missed is coverable until Wednesday. Three things limit it:
- It's only offered when covering that period would actually reconnect the run. Two misses in a row can't be rescued by one freeze, and we'd rather not sell you something that doesn't work.
- One freeze per party per 30 days. It's there to protect an accident, not to buy a streak you didn't do.
- Limit parties can't be frozen. There, a "miss" is the thing happening — covering it would delete the evidence rather than save a run.
Where do freezes come from?
Free accounts get 2 to begin with. StreakParty Pro includes 3 every month. You can also buy a 3-pack in the app at any time; bought freezes don't expire.
Will my party see that I used one?
Yes, and that's deliberate. A frozen day shows as a snowflake on the calendar — never as a completed check-in — and appears in the party's feed. Nobody's position on the leaderboard improves in silence.
Friends, boosts and nudges
What's a boost?
A boost is a short bit of encouragement you send a friend: a hand-picked quote, a note in your own words, or both. It waits on their home screen until they open the app, and they can answer it with Say thanks, which sends one back. Send one from the Friends tab — tap the heart next to a friend's name.
How many boosts can I send?
Up to 5 to the same friend, and 50 in total, in any 24 hours. These are flood guards rather than a budget — cheering the same friend on twice in a day is the app working as intended, and most people never come near either number.
A filled-in heart beside a friend just means you've already boosted them today. It doesn't stop you sending another.
What's a nudge?
A nudge says "I've done mine — your turn" to the people in a party who haven't checked in yet for the current period. Each person can be nudged once per period, and the app only offers the option when there's actually somebody to send one to.
Someone's boosts or nudges aren't welcome
Open their profile and mute their boosts, their nudges, or both — they won't be told. You can also mute nudges for a whole party from the party's own screen. If you need to go further, Block is on the same profile: it ends the friendship and stops all contact between the two of you.
How do I add someone to a group chat?
Open the group and tap the add-person button in the header. Any member can add their own friends — there's no owner. New members see messages sent from the moment they join, not the backlog. Direct one-to-one chats can't have people added to them.
Privacy and safety
Who can see my check-in photos?
The members of the streak party you posted them in. What that means depends on the party:
- Private parties are visible only to their members, and the only way in is an invitation from the creator.
- Public parties can be found and joined by any member's friends, and their check-in activity is visible to StreakParty users who view or join them.
New parties are private by default. A creator can open one up later from the edit screen, and is warned first — a party that's been seen by the wrong people can't be un-seen. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Why are there so few parties in Discover?
Discover only lists parties that one of your friends is already in. It isn't a directory of strangers' parties — joining one of those would put you on a leaderboard with people you have no stake in, and hand every one of them a way to notify you.
The rest of Discover is a set of starting points — Morning Run, Read 20 Pages, Save Weekly and so on. Tap one and the create screen opens with every question already answered, and you change whatever you like.
How do I report something?
Anywhere another person's words or photo appear — a message, a check-in photo, a boost, a nudge — there's a ⋯ button that reports it. Profiles carry Report and Block directly. We review reports within 24 hours.
A boost or a nudge you report is hidden from you straight away, since you're the only person who could see it. Something a whole party can see — a message or a check-in photo — stays visible until we've looked at it, so one report can't silence a conversation for everyone else.
When does StreakParty send me notifications?
When a friend boosts or nudges you, when you get a message or a friend request, and once a day as a check-in reminder — at 20:00 your local time, and only if you still have something open. If the day's already done, nothing is sent. Weekly and monthly parties never raise a daily reminder, since they're legitimately open all week. Choosing a different reminder time is part of Pro.
Plans and billing
What do I get for free?
Up to 3 streak parties at once, up to 6 members in each, 30 days of calendar and photo history, and 2 streak freezes. Boosts, nudges, messaging, friends and achievements are unlimited on every plan and always will be — they're what makes the app work.
What does StreakParty Pro add?
Unlimited streak parties, parties of up to 50 members, your full history and photo archive rather than the last 30 days, 3 streak freezes every month, and a check-in reminder at a time you choose. Current prices and any free trial are shown in the app before you confirm anything.
How do I cancel, and what happens if I do?
Subscriptions are managed in your app store, not in StreakParty — see our Terms for where to find them on each platform. Nothing is deleted when Pro ends: your history is all still there, you just see the most recent 30 days again until you resubscribe, and parties over the free size limit keep every member they already have.
Deleting the StreakParty app, or your StreakParty account, does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store as well.
Delete your account
In the app: open the Profile tab, scroll to the Account section, and tap Delete account, then confirm twice. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Deleting your account removes your profile, streak memberships, check-in history, uploaded photos, messages, boosts you've sent or received, friend connections, and achievements, and signs you out of all devices. This cannot be undone.
If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion by emailing support@streakparty.com from the email address on the account with the subject "Account deletion request". We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup rotation schedule after deletion.
